Carrion Crow

A large, jet-black corvid with a distinctive "caw" for its call. As the name suggests, this species scavenges on dead animals but will also forage for fruit, hunt invertebrates, and raid nests.

Like its larger relative, the raven, the carrion crow has a reputation for intelligence, and research has recorded its impressive problem-solving, tool use, and social learning abilities.
