Nuthatch

A noisy, colourful bird full of character can be found among the taller trees of the park. Like woodpeckers, the nuthatch hunts on tree trunks and among the branches, using its long beak and tongue to grab any grubs hidden within.

They are noticeably more agile than woodpeckers, and can often be seen descending head-first down a trunk and dangling upside down beneath branches.
