Didsbury Park was one of the first municipal planned parks in the city.

It was re-designed in the 1920s to include recreational features for local residents including the two bowling greens which survive today.

There is also said to be an air-raid shelter underneath the football pitch but little is known about it

The photos in the album show the park as it has been in the past and, although it has changed, it is instantly recognisable.

The cover of the album is a copy of a postcard of the park from the early days after it was first opened.
