The National 'Britain in Bloom' competition is a nationwide community gardening campaign helping to transform cities, towns & villages. The scheme, which is the largest of its kind in Europe, is run by the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society). For more information click here.
Didsbury Park is has been part of 'Didsbury in Bloom' for several years with the Volunteers not only working hard on bringing colour into the park but also in the village.
The park has consistently done well and since 2017 has been awarded Silver, Gold and 'Outstanding'. Our thanks go to everyone who has helped achieve this.
Regular meetings are held to monitor progress and encourage participants. However, more volunteers are needed, particularly on village clean up days. If you want to help please contact us or 'Friends of Fletcher Moss and Parsonage Gardens' who lead the 'Didsbury in Bloom' entry.
