Didsbury is again competing in the National 'Britain in Bloom' competition which is a nationwide community gardening campaign helping to transform cities, towns & villages. The scheme, which is the largest of its kind in Europe, is run by the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society). For more information click here.
Didsbury Park is pleased to be part of 'Didsbury in Bloom' so the Volunteers are working hard on bringing some colour into the park. The thumbnail on the right shows a new flower bed which they dug last week despite the recent torrential rain (click to enlarge).
Last year the park was awarded 'Level 4 - Thriving', see certificate on the right (click to enlarge).
Regular meetings are held to monitor progress and encourage participants. However more volunteers are needed, particularly on village clean up days. If you want to help please contact us or 'Friends of Fletcher Moss and Parsonage Gardens' who lead the 'Didsbury in Bloom' entry.
